Federation of Sol Race for Twilight Imperium

The Federation of Sol

I call these guys space marines. The Federation of Sol has many advantages in the fact that they breed like humans. Spend a command counter and get 2 free ground forces on any planet you control. You also get an additional command counter at the end of each status phase. The best way to play this is to go out and get a planet away from your home world. Go far out and grab one with good resources. Build a space dock and start breeding there. Use the ships you build to carry your troops out onto the board. You can always get more troops. You just need to get there.

If another player plays that action card which gives you a chance to grab a planet behind enemy lines your set with more breeding ground. Keep an eye out for War Suns and Dreadnoughts because they can sure bomb your guys back to the stone age. The great thing is that if you just hold the planet you can breed some more. In order for this all to happen you need command counters. Always choose the strategy card that is going to give you the most command counters then use them as money to breed, breed breed.

Get started on working towards those advanced fighters to help back up your troops and keep away the big ships. If you can make people without carriers all you need to do is keep the skies clean. First turn though get another carrier and use it to pull men from planets behind the lines and push them forward onto the field. They are a fun race to play but they still take some passive aggressive moving to have a chance at winning.
