Make sure to pick up expansion based technologies to build a large resource base. If your playing the distant suns option watch out for hostile locals, they can really cream you because of your -1 to combat rolls. Admin, would you mind posting info about their home system? You say that you did not play your best game and still all of the other players had to team up to hold you back. They are a powerful race to say the least. They prevented me from voting, from taking second ability of strategy card, exhausted my planets and one of my neighbours attacked in in round 2 and blockaded my space docks. At the end I came out of this stranglehold but did not have a chance to win any more - too few planets and a lag points. So, what I want to say: If all opponents collaborate, they can stop Jol-Nar. Playing with 3 players does cut down on the time it takes, but it's no less fun with 3 expierenced players. I think this last game was even more fun with dice for each set. My speckled dice seemed to roll great on Saturday night as well. I can only hope they roll as well every week. What a great game this is.
